IFA Research Committee Call for Research Abstracts and Case Histories

The United Nations General Assembly declared 2020 as the International Year of Plant Health (IYPH). Plant health is important for everyone and we're eager to read about and share the research that will be presented this year from all over the world. This year is also a fantastic opportunity to raise global awareness on how protecting plant health can help end hunger, reduce poverty, protect the environment, and boost economic development.

With the shift towards a more integrative approach to healthcare gaining momentum, the IFA Research Committee encourages all those who are working in aromatherapy and the wider field of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) to get involved by contributing either a research abstract and/or case history (omitting personal data of course) or if you have simply come across research papers please provide a link.

These efforts are a catalyst to raising awareness of the health and well-being benefits of aromatherapy and to strengthen its recognition as a true complementary modality. All submissions will also add to our bank of evidence to be put before leading authorities in health and social care.

More research is imperative to add to the validity of our profession. It helps to emphasise the importance of an integrative approach to medicine that combines conventional and complementary approaches for addressing some of the critical health issues that we face today. 

If you are working or collaborating on, or have previously written a research project as part of your studies, or if you have case studies demonstrating how integrative medicine can make a difference in clinical care, we would encourage you to come and be part of the energy towards change.
