Criteria and Registration

Applicants must:

Have a website for verifying and monitoring purposes (to view how products are marketed before and during membership).

Companies must provide sufficient information on their website and promotional literature about their products to allow customers to make informed decisions. Provide instruction on how to apply the product safely and provide guidance regarding dilution, where necessary. As essential oils vary from crop to crop, they cannot be licensed; therefore, the company’s website must not make any medicinal claims regarding an aromatherapy product.

The information printed on product labels/accompanying leaflets must meet the IFA Labelling Requirements. 

We will also check the companies ethos statement and commitment to the sustainable sourcing of essential oils and in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.
 

Provide 5 products from across your range i.e. 1 essential oil, 1 face cream, 1 massage blend, 1 balm, 1 face oil. These must be sent to our Head Office: IFA, 146 South Ealing Road, Ealing, London, W5 4QJ accompanied by a leaflet or business card so we can clearly identify you.

Companies must provide the above before registering, so we can sample viscosity, freshness and quality of the products as well as presentation. 

Terms and Conditions

Once approved as meeting the standard, you will be provided with the link to the registration form.

All corporate members must comply with the Terms and Use of Logo throughout their duration of the membership and may not place the IFA corporate member logo on any products. 

The fee for IFA Corporate Membership is £250.00 per annum. We calculate the fee from joining month to the end of the following year (12 months minimum)
