The IFA offer various categories of membership dependent on accredited prior learning with a range of benefits. To find which category of membership you are eligible for please browse the following options below:
Full Membership
Completed the IFA Professional Aromatherapy Diploma or equivalent - see qualifications we recognise as equivalent and Terms and Conditions of Membership £80.00 per annum. £120.00 first time upgrade for students (from the month you apply to the end of the following year, provided you apply in the same year that you graduate)
For those with 'equivalent' qualifications - we calculate the fee from joining month to the end of the following year (12 months minimum)
Professional Essential Oil Therapist (PEOT) Membership
Completed the IFA Professional Essential Oils Therapy Diploma (does not include massage) or equivalent - see qualifications we recognise as equivalent and Terms and Conditions of Membership £80.00 per annum. £120.00 first time upgrade for students (from the month you apply to the end of the following year, provided you apply in the same year that you graduate)

Associate Membership
Completed an Aromatherapy course to a Level 3 or 4 standard for example: ABC, CIBTAC, CIDESCO, CITY & GUILDS, CFA, HLT52315, ITEC, NAHA, SCOTEV, SQA, VTCT
See qualifications we recognise and Terms and Conditions of Membership £70.00 per annum. Dependent on what time of year you join initially, we calculate the fee from joining month to the end of the following year (12 months minimum)
Carer Membership
Completed the IFA Aromacare course and comply by Terms and Conditions of Membership
No equivalent qualification available £35.00 per annum. £50.00 first time upgrade for students (from the month you apply to the end of the following year, provided you apply in the same year that you graduate)
Student Membership
Any individual undertaking the IFA syllabus programme of study and end point assessment.Schools register their students with the IFA and each student enrolled receives an IFA student ID card, which they must present at exams. £35.00 for 24 months for Diploma Course Students or £25.00 for 12 months for Aromacare Course Students
Friend Membership
Any individual who has an interest in aromatherapy and wishes to receive the Aromatherapy Times and Holistic Therapist magazine, access our past and present webinars to expand their knowledge plus research hub. Corporate (Company) Membership
Companies who sell products and advocate the safe use of aromatherapy and sourcing of essential oils in a socially and environmentally responsible manner. The information printed on product labels must also meet the IFA ‘correct labelling’ requirements. 5 samples of your products must be provided to the IFA Head Office prior to acceptance. £250.00 per annum. We calculate the fee from joining month to the end of the following year (12 months minimum)
