Qualification Range
The IFA offers internationally recognised qualifications in clinical aromatherapy taught only by our approved Centres. Our courses range between HE levels 2 – 5 and cater for the beginner as well as experienced aromatherapist looking for a highly reputable route of progression. Each course has flexible completion timeframes and methods of delivery allowing providers to schedule teaching around other commitments and their student’s needs. Successful completion of an IFA course at an approved Centre means the learner will be eligible to apply for IFA postgraduate membership in the course they have undertaken. This also means that approved Centres receive referrals for upgrading therapist’s qualifications to meet those standards.
Our longstanding reputation in the field for elevating and innovating standards in aromatherapy, means that by delivering an IFA qualification the public are reassured that you are providing a course that surpasses the aromatherapy core curriculum standards and produces dedicated and experienced professional practitioners; giving learners excellent career prospects after completion. Each course is taught from an IFA syllabus which has clear aims and learning outcomes incorporating the National Occupational Standards (NOS) and Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). The syllabuses also include guidance of how to structure teaching notes (to build upon your own) plus sample exam questions, which is why unlike other courses our syllabus are not made available until the applicant has met the minimum standards to prevent copyright infringement. All assessments of learners are conducted by an IFA quality assurance assessor who will visit the Centre to ensure standards are upheld; the mark of a true professional.
Each course addresses the needs of a niche market. Our clinical aromatherapy diploma course is an advanced course targeted at elevating knowledge in aromatherapy and evidence based practice. Our professional essential oils therapy diploma course focuses on product making in the clinic and the integration of essential oils with other healthcare practices and our Aromacare course caters to those who wish to teach carers of those with prohibitive conditions.
