CPD & Short Course Accreditation

The IFA offer an approval process for CPD and short course providers in aromatherapy, massage, health and safety, business and other complementary health courses. Approved status assures consumers that your course has been independently and externally assessed and is acknowledged for CPD points by the IFA. This also gives providers a peace of mind that their course meets the IFA’s kite mark standard of professionalism.

Additional benefits include use of the ‘IFA CPD Accredited’ quality mark and promotion on the IFA website, providing an additional platform to market your course. Each
attendee can also gain valuable CPD points recognised by the IFA.

To become approved please complete the application form for each CPD course you wish to be accredited, which in brief includes the following:

  • Course specifications; hours, contents, venue
  • Teacher qualifications
  • Health and Safety
  • Insurance
  • Terms and Conditions

The aim of this approval scheme is to independently approve short courses and aromatherapy qualifications from training providers that are not externally regulated by awarding bodies or Ofqual.

By offering independent accreditation, the IFA provides consumers with assurance that your course meets the IFA standards and Qualifications Framework.

Once a course is CPD Accredited by the IFA it can be run as many times as you wish within a given year by the same tutor. Each course must be approved individually for the fee of £100.00. Approval extends for twelve (12) months, with a £25.00 non-refundable fee for evaluating course content (The £25.00 evaluation fee will be deducted from approval fee if successful).
