Centre Support and Benefits

Approved Centre status brings numerous benefits and centre owners are continuously supported in a variety of ways.

We support our centre owners and teachers in the following ways:

Professional Syllabi

Provide access to our professional syllabi and teaching manuals (currently available in four languages) with clearly defined curriculum content and learning outcomes aiding teachers to create structured course material. Our detailed syllabi also include useful additional notes for teachers and sample exam questions for each unit. Our syllabi are consistently reviewed to reflect the very latest techniques and research developments in the field.

Guidance Teaching Notes

Guidance notes for specialised areas (complementary to the syllabi) can be found in the Centre Support Area.

Research Search Filter

Centres can gain access to our easy to use search facility where you can find links to filtered clinical trials and research papers by essential oil, carrier oil, therapeutic property, medical condition, ailment and/or by a natural progression in the body all of which relate to our syllabi to assist teachers when creating teaching notes.

Assessment forms

Downloadable structured assessment forms and guidance notes for coursework components.

Template Policies

Our Centre Support Area provides access to all the relevant template policies to enable Centres to meet the approval requirements and support the running of their business.

Externally invigilated examinations

The IFA provides examination papers, experienced examiners, venue (where necessary), external audit and marking of papers and provide to each successful candidate, an embossed diploma certificate issued from the International Federation of Aromatherapists.

Route of progression

Once approved, Centres are granted the opportunity to deliver other IFA advanced courses and provided access to manuals of how to bridge between our qualifications.

We work closely with industry providers to bring you discounts on products and supplies from quality brands. Discounted tickets to conferences, workshops and seminars for your tutors and students.
