South London Refugee Association Seeking Volunteers
South London Refugee Association is a small organisation based in Streatham Hill and we are looking for Aromatherapists to offer ad-hoc Aromatherapy sessions for participants at our Community Hub. We can offer a cooked lunch after the session and the chance to be a part of our work supporting migrants in South London.

Read more information and apply>>>>Our team of complementary therapists’ tailor programmes to each person’s needs, treatments may involve a single therapy or a combination of techniques. Sessions provide a safe space where patients and their carers can take a little time out of their daily challenges and achieve a sense of wellbeing. The service consists of highly trained therapists who provide outpatient appointments in bespoke therapy rooms in the Hospice, on the Inpatient Unit, in people’s own homes or as part of the Living Well Service programme.
We now have an opportunity to join us as a Complementary Therapist, we have 2 permanent roles available based at our Hospice in Cambridge.
As our Complementary Therapist you will holistically assess and deliver a high standard of Complementary therapy services to patients referred for Specialist Palliative Care, working as part working as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to plan and deliver those services.
Main duties will include:
- Planning, implementing and reviewing the complementary therapy treatments to ensure they meet individual needs at each therapy session.
- Working as part of the MDT to provide a supportive role in symptom control
- Working with (and supervising) Healthcare Assistants and volunteers in the use of complementary therapies
To be successful in this role candidates must hold a minimum of 2 High level qualifications in Complementary Therapy related subjects along with registration with a validated complementary therapy organisation. It is also required to have previous experience of working in a complementary therapy setting, with experience working within palliative care desirable.
The hours of work available are either 22 per week, or 21.5 per week, worked across Monday – Wednesday or Wednesday – Friday, we would be happy to discuss working hours at interview.
Due to the nature of the role it is a requirement for the postholder to hold a UK driving license and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
