IFA Celebrate 35 Years of Excellence 2020

On its 35th birthday 20th October 2020 the IFA will be recognising the extraordinary efforts, made by dedicated IFA members, staff and volunteers over the years that put Aromatherapy on the map. Patricia Davis reminds us that “Before the IFA’s inception, Aromatherapists had no organisation or representation at all”.

Ingestion and Neat Application of Essential Oils Guidance

Essential oils must not be taken internally unless prescribed and administered by a primary healthcare practitioner, pharmacist, or herbalist who is also a trained and qualified essential oil practitioner - the IFA does not advocate the internal use of essential oils in any other circumstance, either via oral, rectal or vaginal means.

Aromatherapy & The Advertising (ASA) Codes

All registrants have a duty of care to protect their clients, part of which is to describe their services honestly, accurately and legally. All adverts are required to comply with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) CAP codes. If you are in any doubt you should check your advertisements with them before going to print.

The IFA Sets New Guinness World Record
March 26, 2018
On 26th March 2018 at the Heung Yee Kuk Building, Shatin, Hong Kong, IFA members came together for a historic event to set the new world record by giving 30 minute hand massages simultaneously to 297 elderly people beating the previous world record of 250.
