Membership

The IFA is an approved accredited register by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA), a UK body accountable to parliament. We are referred to by the NHS and recommended by the UK Government National Careers Office as the professional body of choice for aromatherapists. IFA Membership adds to your credibility as a practitioner as it confirms that you have reached a high level of professional expertise and also shows that you are serious about your career and professional development. The Government Department of Health and the General Medical Council advice doctors to refer patients to practitioners on Accredited Registers like the IFA, as they are externally regulated, giving a peace of mind. Importantly, in the workplace, employers will require practitioners to be a member of a well-established governing body. The IFA quality mark is regarded by many such places as the organisation that delivers dedicated and experienced aromatherapists. The benefits of belonging to a therapy-specific body are that we understand the therapy inside out. We understand the challenges, education, research and development requirements of our members, allowing us to deliver a specialist service. We offer a wide range of benefits and regular industry updates to support you throughout your career. We look forward to welcoming you to our international network.

Please email us a copy of your qualification certificate to office@ifaroma.org for an expedient response and you may be able to join the same day!
